Hi Everyone, hope your all having a good Easter and not working too hard on your course.
Lots of you have asked about how much and what type of evidence is required for your reflective accounts- The first thing I would say is that you can not have too much evidence, the more the merrier. Secondly, think about how many standards you are claiming and use this as a guide. The important thing to remember is that you need as much corroborative evidence as you can get your hands on. Expert Witness statements are very important here as they back up what you have stated. Your witness can state as much or as little as they wish, so long as they cover the evidence you are claiming. You may also have colleague witness statements, which could help to verify your work. Remember, any planning/preparation, learner/your work products, risk assessments, incident reports, ILPs, IEPs, Lesson Plans, Schemes of Learning etc are all evidence- Just remember to block out any personal details
Hope this helps Karen

Thank you for that, Karen. I am mid-way through compiling my first Reflective Account - concentrating on the first Standard, as requested. As I am writing it, trying always to link evidence with the account, I am finding that the content also pertains quite a lot to the second, and other, Standards. For example, much of my uploaded evidence - email correspondence and relevant documents - also pertains to Communication and Information Management, Working with Others, Leadership etc...) Do I just write in the Standard statement reference numbers along with all the other statement numbers? Do I need to link further when I come to writing up later Reflective Accounts?

Try to write holistically. If one example covers lots of standards then you can simply add them in the right-hand column - same goes for the evidence you provide. You shouldn't ever find yourself repeating information.
One corker of an example should cover quite a lot of ground, just make sure you use enough detail and provide supportive evidence.
